About House League

The Oakville Angels House League is an all-girls, public softball association run by volunteer parents, coaches and other community members for girls aged 4 to 22, for both beginner and experienced players.

The House League program provides girls with a fun and safe environment to learn the key skills of softball (i.e., pitching, catching, running, fielding, and more). New players are always welcome, and almost half of all players are new each year. So don’t worry if you haven’t played softball before – We will provide you with all the training to get you up to speed quickly.

During the season (which runs from May to September), players have one practice a week and one game a week. Depending on their division, teams may have an End-of-Season Championship in August or September.

More Information

The House League program is divided up by Divisions, so that girls play with other girls their same age and skill level. All of our coaches are certified and trained and make sure all players get an equal chance to play and an opportunity to learn all the skills they need to have a fun and enjoyable playing experience.

New players are always welcome, and our coaches make sure you quickly get up to speed and are playing at the same level as all your teammates. So join today!

House League Program – All players (from Blastball division up to the Junior division) play in the House League program and this is open to all players, new and returning. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before – we provide great instruction so you will be playing at the same level as all your teammates very quickly! Having fun and making friends is the most important goal for House League players. Most teams have one practice per week and one game per week. For our younger players in Blastball and Tyke division, we use a special instruction technique called Learn to Play. It’s a great way to teach softball to young players. For more information on Learn to Play, Click Here. Players in our older divisions have games in Interlock – which means they play some games with our neighbouring leagues (Milton, Georgetown, Burlington and/or Mississauga). Select Program – Specifically designed for House League players who are looking for more playing opportunities at a more challenging level, we offer the Select Program. House League players can try-out for the Select program, which allows them to play in a number of extra tournaments throughout the summer. Select players still practice and play games with their House League teams. For more information on the Select Program
