Event Opportunities

Announcers / Scoreboard Coordinators (Tournaments & Gala Days) CLICK HERE
We have several positions available to assist with our summer tournaments: Midget/Junior Gala on Aug 29/30 and Novice Gala on Sept 12/13. Run the electronic scoreboards and announce players for the games. High school students get Community Service credits. Sign up now and find out about all the event dates.
Diamond / Field Coordinators (Tournaments & Gala Days) CLICK HERE

Seasonal Positions

Learn-to-Play & Mite Convenor CLICK HERE
This is an important role and ideal for an ex-player or young adult. Under the direction of the VP of House League, the LTP/Mite Convenor will act as the main point of contact for our Learn-to-Play (LTP) divisions (i.e., Blastball and Tyke) and the Mite division. You will communicate with coaches about important dates and events; ensure coaches have uniforms, equipment, information and resources to manage their teams; answer any questions about practice/game activities; and help run the final Gala Day event. We will provide you with all the information you need, including the Learn-to-Play and Mite rules and procedures that coaches need to follow. This is a seasonal role (May to August) but only requires a few hours of your time each week.
Sponsorships Convenor CLICK HERE
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Sponsorships Convenor will help us secure community sponsors for the new season. You will manage all logistics related to sponsor packages, sponsor advertising, social media promotion for sponsors and sponsor banners production. This is a seasonal role (October to May) but only requires a few hours of your time each week.
Promotions & Publicity Convenor CLICK HERE
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Promotions and Publicity Convenor will help us promote the OGSA to parents and players. You will manage all planning and logistics related to advertising, promotions, publicity and PR. This is a seasonal role (October to May) but only requires a few hours of your time each week.
Volunteers Convenor CLICK HERE
This is a new position for the OGSA and recognizes the importance of on-going recruitment of volunteers. The Volunteers Convenor will help us recruit seasonal and event volunteers (both adults and youth) to ensure we can continue to run our tournaments, opening and closing gala days, and support our softball programs. This is a seasonal role (January to September) but only requires a few hours of your time each week.
Special Events Convenor CLICK HERE
This is an important role for one adult. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Special Events Convenor will help us manage our main events (including Opening Day, closing Galas, and any local Select Tournaments). Following our Events Guidebook, you will manage all logistics related to events, including supervision of volunteers, event set-up/tear-down, concessions (if required), and event management. This is a seasonal role (May to September) but only requires a few hours of your time each week and one day per month on the weekend.
