U11 – Mite

 

2013/2014 Simpson team

Ian Simpson has been appointed head coach for the U11 2013/2014 team.  With over 5 years of youth coaching experience, Ian is putting together a fastpitch program that focuses on fundamentals.  He is building a competitive team that will work on skills, confidence, resilience, and a positive team environment.  Ian’s off-season training will include indoor training twice a week with former National team player Nikki Beal.

U13 – Squirt

 

Seidler Beal 2011 team

Mat Seidler and Nikki Beal have been appointed co-head coaches for the U13 2011 team.  Mat has been coaching his team for the past 2 seasons in the Oakville Rep program, with his team alongside professional trainers.  Mat puts together a program, which offers a focus on the fundamentals. Mat will be building a very competitive team focusing on the skills of softball, and what it takes to excel in sports with confidence and positive team attitude.  Nikki Beal has coached and played at the national team level and has played pro softball in California.  Nikki is also the trainer for all rep teams within the Oakville Angels organization.

Nichiporik  McKay 2012 team

Darren Nichiporik has been appointed co-head coach of the U13 2012 team.  He has over 10 years experience coaching youth soccer, t-ball, baseball and softball.  Darren has been an Assistant Coach with the Burlington Bulls Rep Baseball program for the last 7 years, and the Oakville Angels 2012 Rep team for the past 2 years.  Darren brings an abundance of energy and enthusiasm along with the core skill development, knowledge and experience.

 

Jim McKay has been appointed co-coach for the U13 2012 team. He has coached in the OGSA for over 10 years, at all levels (House-league, Select, Rep) and all age groups from Blastball (U6) to Women’s (U21). Jim brings a proven ability to develop and empower female athletes through sport.

Andrea McKinney 2012 team

Andrea Mckinney has been appointed coach for the second U13 2012 team. She has close to ten years of youth coaching experience, including three years with the OGSA at the House League and Rep levels. Andrea cares about developing female athletes as players, individuals, and as a team. Focusing on building fundamentals and fostering a love of the game.

U15 – Novice

 

Tammy Emmett 2009 team

Tammy Emmett has been appointed head coach for the 15U 2009 team.  As a former NCAA player, Tammy puts together a program, which focuses on development and hard work.

Rainey Pucci 2010 team

Head Coach Rainey Pucci has been playing and coaching softball for over 45 years.  After stepping away from coaching after her daughter retired, she was brought back onto the field when a friend asked her to help for a season.  With three national gold titles under her belt along with a box full of trophies, Rainey was offered three full ride scholarships to play outfield in the US.  Rainey finished her playing career with one of the most dominant Junior teams in Canada, the KW Civitans who were inducted into the Waterloo Hall of Fame.  Coach Rainey focuses on a grass roots approach and basis her philosophy on teaching athletes the importance of dedication, respect, teamwork and learning to compete with confidence.

U17 – Bantam

 

Chris Currie 2008 team

Chris Currie has been appointed as head coach for the 2008 team.  He has over 25 years of coaching experience in rep baseball and softball.  Chris was an NCAA D1 pitcher and has won several OBA and IBL championships.  His teams have travelled extensively through the US and the majority of players graduating from his program play at the collegiate level in Canada and the US.  This program focuses on position specific skill development and uses a number of exceptional coaches to work with the athletes including Nikki Beal (NCAA D1, national team & professional player), Jackie Hall (NCAA D1 pitcher and professional trainer), and Kevin Hussey (NCAA D1 catcher and professional baseball coach).

U19 – Midget

 

Chris Donoghue 2005 Team

Chris Donoghue has been appointed as head coach for the U19 team.  Chis is a certified NCCP accredited coach with over 10 years of coaching softball at all levels, most recently working with the Oakville Angels U15 2008 and U17 2005 teams.  Chris bring with him vast experience which includes playing with the Australian University and the Australian National Men’s Baseball teams.  His mission as a coach is simple: “We will challenge the athlete to be a winner and a professional in all that she does because we are not just teaching skills for softball…we’re teaching lessons for life.”

Tyson Levac 2006 team

Tyson Levac has been appointed as head coach for the 17U 2006 team. As a fully certified Level 1 NCCP coach with over 10 years coaching experience, Tyson continues to put together strong teams. Coming off of a successful 2022 season, Tyson and his coaches build a strong foundation for players to develop into exceptional ball players. Tyson and his coaches create an environment, which enriches player development, moving girls towards their athletic goals.

Mark Cataford 2007 team

Mark Cataford has been appointed head coach for the U17 2007 team. He has over 9 years coaching experience at the rep level and is very excited and optimistic about this upcoming season. Mark intends to build on to what was a successful 2022 season, motivating the girls to become the very best athletes they can become. Mark and his coaches want to not only develop the players but also make sure they are having fun and are encouraged to continue this sport for many years to come.
