OGSA Umpires

About OGSA Umpires

Umpire with the OGSA in 2024!

The Angels’ 2024 House league season is fast approaching. Our umpires have always been a very important part of making our softball seasons great! Preparations for the new season are starting soon and we are growing so will need to expand our Umpire group.

The surrounding area currently has a shortage of qualified softball umpires. Adult umpires who attend a Level 1 clinic and become carded with Softball Ontario are able to umpire players of all ages. Junior umpires are also needed and may umpire divisions as qualified. Remuneration is based on division umpired.

If you are a returning or new umpire and are interested in participating, email us at umpiring@oakvilleangels.com

OGSA Umpires

If you are 12 years or older, join us to become an umpire with the OGSA.

The OGSA supports girls and boys in sport and leadership opportunities. We invest in them to become umpires and support them in learning the game.

We encourage all members of the community to support our umpires with a kind word and gesture at the games. No one is perfect and mistakes will be made.

They work hard to help create a fun environment for players and spectators. There is a zero tolerance for umpire abuse at OGSA and take any abuse of umpires very seriously.

Let us know you want to be an Oakville Angels Umpire

The OGSA encourages girls and boys to become Junior & Intermediate Umpires and earn extra income, while having a great leadership experience.

Junior and Intermediate umpires are needed for our Mite, Squirt and Novice House League games during the season (which runs from May to July) and some intermediate umpires will work Mite Rep games.
